Chief Financial Officer

Our client, an established Property & Casualty fronting carrier, is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to serve as a close strategic business partner to the CEO while remaining engaged in the day-to-day financial and operational aspects of the organization. The CFO will oversee a 20+ person finance team and activities across financial reporting, FP&A and budgeting, regulatory matters, claims reviews, Board and investor discussions, and the evaluation and onboarding of new MGA/program opportunities. The CFO will also need a strong understanding of reinsurance, including how individual program structures, retained and ceded risk, and aggregate protections impact the carrier’s financial position, capital, and surplus.

The CFO will also continue modernizing and scaling the finance organization, improving technology and data capabilities, identifying opportunities for automation and AI, strengthening FP&A and budgeting processes, and developing the existing team. This is a hands-on executive environment, and the successful candidate will be equally comfortable advising the Board and senior leadership, evaluating a new program opportunity, and working directly with the finance team to understand the underlying numbers and improve processes.

Qualified candidates will have minimum 10 years of financial leadership experience within a Property & Casualty insurance carrier with an existing programs division, with meaningful exposure to fronting, MGA business and/or complex reinsurance structures.

Position is fully remote and comes with competitive compensation and long-term incentive.
