Established in 1866, Norway Savings Bank is celebrating its 160th anniversary as a respected, $2 billion, state chartered mutual bank with deep roots in the communities it serves. With more than 300 full-time employees and 25 branch locations throughout Maine and New Hampshire, NSB is the eighth largest bank headquartered in Maine. The Bank maintains a strong financial position, with a Tier 1 capital ratio of nearly 14% and a $1.5 billion loan portfolio. Through modern digital banking tools, NSB combines the convenience of anytime, anywhere banking with the local decision-making and personalized service that define a true community bank.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Information Officer will join a tenured and collaborative executive management team and play a key leadership role in shaping the future of technology for one of Maine’s premier community banking franchises. The CIO will be responsible for developing and executing the Bank’s technology strategy while leading, developing, and motivating a dedicated and experienced IS&T team. Working in close partnership with business leaders across the organization, this executive will drive innovation, improve operational efficiency, and leverage technology, data, and AI to advance the Bank’s strategic priorities. The CIO will provide enterprise-wide leadership for the Bank’s technology infrastructure, business applications, systems integration, and key technology initiatives, while fostering strong vendor partnerships and ensuring a secure, reliable, and well managed technology environment.
We are seeking a talented executive to lead the future of the Bank’s IS&T functions while embracing the collaborative culture, community focus, and employee-first values that have defined Norway Savings Bank as one of Maine’s premier financial institutions for more than 160 years.
