Chief Operations Officer

Smith & Wilkinson has been retained by $215MM New Dimensions Federal Credit Union, a well-capitalized, community-focused credit union headquartered in Central Maine, to lead the search for its next Chief Operations Officer.

Founded in 1956 and headquartered in Waterville, New Dimensions has grown from its origins as a parish-based credit union to a full-service financial cooperative serving four counties across Maine. With nearly 17,000 members, a strong presence in the community, and a deep commitment to financial literacy and empowerment, New Dimensions has become a trusted partner to generations of Maine families and small businesses.

Reporting directly to the CEO and serving as a key member of the senior leadership team, the Chief Operations Officer will play a central role in the ongoing transformation and strategic evolution of the credit union. This leader will oversee all aspects of retail and branch operations, mortgage and consumer lending.

The ideal candidate will be a people-first leader with strong operational acumen, proven team leadership experience, and a passion for developing talent. This is an outstanding opportunity for a retail or operations executive who values community, service, and culture and who is eager to make a meaningful impact in a mission-driven organization.

This is a rare opportunity to join a growing, stable, and values-oriented organization at a pivotal time in its history, with succession planning, organizational redesign, and member service innovation all in scope.
