We’re seeking an Executive Underwriter to join a growing wholesale brokerage and MGA platform, supporting the launch and expansion of a new Contractors General Liability and Inland Marine program. This hands-on role will oversee the day-to-day management of the program, help finalize underwriting guidelines, class code strategy, rates, forms, and carrier requirements, while serving as the primary underwriting authority for Contractors GL and Inland Marine business. The individual will work closely with executive leadership to build and scale the program, support cross-selling opportunities within an existing construction-focused client base, and drive adoption across a nationwide network of retail agency partners.
The ideal candidate will have deep contractors-focused underwriting experience within an MGA, Wholesale Brokerage or program administrator, deep expertise in General Liability coverage (Inland Marine experience is a big plus), and a strong understanding of contractor classes including roofing, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related trades. Candidates should be comfortable balancing strategic program development with day-to-day underwriting and portfolio management responsibilities.
This is a remote U.S.-based role with direct impact on shaping this new program.
