Plant Manager – Industrial Wastewater

The Industrial Wastewater Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the operations of a wastewater treatment plant in an industrial setting. The role requires knowledge and experience in wastewater treatment, as well as strong leadership and management skills. Additionally, they should have a good understanding of environmental regulations, safety procedures, and chemical usage.



  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Develop and implement plans to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the treatment process.
  • Work with other departments within the company to ensure that the treated wastewater meets discharge standards.
  • Supervising a team of operators and technicians.
  • Budgeting, record-keeping, and reporting



  • Understanding of industrial wastewater treatment processes, including physical, chemical, and biological treatment methods, as well as the ability to operate and maintain treatment equipment.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with operators, technicians, regulatory agencies and other departments within the company.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures, chemical usage, and the ability to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Experience with computer programs and systems such as SCADA systems and database management.
  • Ability to plan and execute projects related to process improvement, expansion, and equipment upgrades.
