Martha’s Vineyard Bank Announces Dave Malone as Next Head of Investment Services

May 2026 – Smith & Wilkinson was retained by Martha’s Vineyard Bank to manage the search and selection process for the Bank’s next Head of Investment Services, concluding in the appointment of Dave Malone.

Reporting to the President and CEO, the Head of Investment Services leads the Bank’s boutique and solutions-based wealth management division, oversees a talented team of advisors, and continues the Bank’s mission to provide best in class service at an exceptionally well-run, forward-thinking, community financial institution. Seeking to simplify the complexities of wealth management using personalized financial planning, Martha’s Vineyard needed a talented and client centric wealth executive for this unique leadership role.

Dave Malone brings more than 25 years of experience across banking, institutional asset management, and private wealth advisory to Martha’s Vineyard. Prior to joining the bank, Malone held leadership roles with Wilmington Trust, Ascensus, and founded and served as Chief Investment Officer at Advocacy Investments, LLC, an independent RIA focused on holistic wealth management. References highlighted Malone’s commitment to client-centric wealth advising, clear and transparent communication, and empowering leadership style. Dave is known for translating complex investments into clear, actionable guidance, mentoring advisors, and prioritizing disciplined process and long-term client trust.
