QNB Corp. Announces Chris Cattie as Next President of QNB Bank
May 2026 – Smith & Wilkinson partnered with QNB Corp. (OTCQX: QNBC) to lead the search for the next President of QNB Bank as part of the organization’s long-term leadership succession plan.
QNB Bank is a $2.4 billion community bank headquartered in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, serving customers throughout Bucks, Lehigh, and Montgomery counties. With a planned leadership transition on the horizon, the Board of Directors committed to a comprehensive national search to identify the bank’s next President, rather than defaulting to an internal appointment.
The search attracted accomplished banking executives from across the country and culminated in final interviews with several highly qualified candidates conducted by the full Board of Directors. At the conclusion of that process, the Board selected Chris Cattie, EVP, Chief Operating Officer, as the next President of QNB Bank.
Chris has been a member of the QNB leadership team for more than a decade, steadily assuming broader responsibility while helping guide the bank’s growth and evolution. Today he oversees operations, technology, facilities, compliance, and risk management, and serves on several executive leadership committees. He distinguished himself throughout the search for his strategic vision, operational leadership, and deep alignment with QNB’s culture and mission. Tested against a strong external field, those qualities, along with his deep understanding of QNB and its future opportunities, led the Board to select him as the bank’s next President.
Effective November 1, 2026, Chris will become President of QNB Bank and join the QNB Corp. Board of Directors, working alongside current President and CEO Dave Freeman as part of a thoughtful, multi-year transition. Upon Mr. Freeman’s planned retirement at the end of 2028, Chris is expected to assume the roles of President and CEO of both the Bank and the Company. He will be only the eighth individual to hold the position of President in the bank’s 149-year history.
The QNB Bank President search was led by Moriah Callahan, Partner & Director of Recruiting, Financial Services, and Cameron Boyd, Managing Partner, Financial Services.
