Atlantic Community Bankers Bank Selects Amy Rafferty as SVP, People & Culture
December 2025 – Smith & Wilkinson was retained by Atlantic Community Bankers Bank (ACBB) to identify its SVP, People & Culture. Recognizing that its people are central to its continued growth and long-term success, ACBB created this new executive role to lead the strategic direction, operational excellence, and cultural development of the Human Resources function. The SVP, People & Culture is responsible for aligning workforce strategy with business objectives, overseeing HR operations and compliance, and championing culture, engagement, and employee experience across the organization.
Founded as the first full-service bankers’ bank in the Northeast, ACBB is driven by a passion for community and a deep belief in the value of community financial institutions. Today, ACBB serves more than 375 financial institutions with a comprehensive suite of correspondent banking, lending, investment, and treasury management services. With approximately 125 dedicated employees, ACBB’s people remain central to its ability to deliver on its mission.
Following a comprehensive executive search that included candidates from a range of regulated industries, ACBB selected Amy Rafferty for this key leadership role. Rafferty brings more than 20 years of experience leading people strategy, talent management, and organizational transformation across complex organizations. She spent 12 years at Highmark Health in roles of increasing responsibility, ultimately serving as Vice President of Human Resources, where she led the HR function for the health plan and diversified businesses. Most recently, as Director of Human Resources at Prelude Services, she streamlined processes across the employee lifecycle, implemented data-driven performance management and workforce planning programs, and helped strengthen employee engagement and organizational effectiveness.
A resident of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, Amy earned her Master of Human Resources Management from Saint Francis University and her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania. She has since stepped into the SVP, People & Culture role at ACBB.
