Due to an upcoming retirement, Smith & Wilkinson has been retained by First County Bank (“FCB,” www.firstcountybank.com) in Stamford, Connecticut to manage the search and selection process for the bank’s next Chief Executive.
With approximately $2.2B in total bank assets, First County Bank is one of the premier mutual banks in the region. Founded nearly 175 years ago, FCB has been a reliable financial partner to consumers and businesses in lower Fairfield County and beyond for generations. In an industry and geography that has seen tremendous consolidation, FCB’s steadfast resolve to maintaining its mutual ownership structure and local decision making has positioned the bank to continue as an independent, community-focused financial institution for years to come. Through its Foundation, First County Bank Foundation, Inc., the bank has supported area nonprofits through over $10MM in charitable giving since 2001.
