Our client, a rapidly growing specialty insurance platform focused on E&S construction casualty, is expanding its underwriting team and hiring a Senior Construction Underwriter to help drive continued national growth across both primary and excess business.
This is a highly production-oriented, broker-facing role offering significant underwriting authority, broad market appetite, and the opportunity to build and own a profitable book in an entrepreneurial environment. The organization is seeking a technically strong underwriter who can become a true “go-to” market for wholesale brokers while contributing to the firm’s continued expansion across complex construction risks.
The ideal profile brings 5+ years of construction casualty underwriting experience within the E&S market, with strong technical underwriting capabilities, existing wholesale broker relationships, and experience handling complex project business including wrap-ups, owners interest, and large construction accounts. Candidates with primary construction expertise who can grow into excess business are also of strong interest.
