SVP, Casualty Underwriting
Our captive and delegated authority/MGA client is seeking an SVP of Underwriting to lead and oversee risk profiling, compliance, underwriting, sales, and define the overall future program growth. This strategic executive role combines high-level underwriting leadership with business development responsibilities, including evaluating new program opportunities, building carrier partnerships, and setting performance goals.
The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience in commercial casualty or specialty underwriting leadership, with a proven track record of mentoring managers, setting underwriting strategy and risk appetite, and influencing cross-functional teams while driving expansion of captive and/or program business. This role offers a clear succession path for future executive leadership and requires relocation to headquarters in the greater Des Moines, IA area.
