Senior Vice President, Underwriting, Excess Casualty & Auto
Our leading MGA client is seeking an experienced SVP of Underwriting to oversee and grow its Excess Casualty & Excess Auto business unit. This role will lead a team of 25, driving profitability, expansion, and operational excellence in the Specialty E&S, Non-Admitted space.
The ideal candidate has 10-15 years of experience in Excess Casualty & Auto underwriting, a proven track record of managing P&L, and strong leadership skills in building and optimizing high-performing teams. Experience managing a $100M+ GWP book and a team of 20+ is essential.
This is a remote position with a Northeast presence preferred. Travel required to collaborate with teams, carriers, and reinsurers. You must have expertise in E&S markets, a strong industry network, and true people management experience to advance the existing teams.
