Agribusiness Risk Underwriters is excited to welcome Joseph Strickland as their next Chief Underwriting Officer

April, 1 2024. Agribusiness Risk Underwriters is excited to welcome Joseph Strickland as their next Chief Underwriting Officer. Mr. Stickland brings over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, having held key roles at United States Aviation Underwriters Inc., American International Group Inc., Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty, Futureproof Technologies, and most recently as Chief Underwriting Officer at GuideOne Insurance.

Agribusiness Risk Underwriters (ARU) was conceived in 2016 by a North Carolina-based family of independent agents who specialized in serving the poultry confinement niche. ARU was founded to build a consistent and sustainable poultry confinement solution, ending the fear and frustration caused by decades of market volatility. Unlike its predecessors, ARU conducted substantial and rigorous research, investing millions of dollars in building an approach to sustainably underwrite the poultry class. ARU now offers solutions for a wide array of farm/agricultural property risks, providing retail brokers, wholesalers, and carriers with a solutions-oriented underwriting approach and access to substantial capacity.

The recruitment for this important role was successfully conducted by Harrison Hines, Senior Associate of the Insurance Practice.
