April 16, 2024. Cornerstone Bank is proud to welcome Michael Lavoie as their next EVP of Commercial Lending. Mr. Lavoie joins Cornerstone Bank with nearly 35 years of experience in the financial services industry, having held important roles at Deutsche Financial Services Corporation, RBS Citizens, Santander Bank, and most recently as the Senior Vice President, Group Manager at M&T Bank.

Formed in 2017, Cornerstone Bank was built on the foundation of two local, mutual banks joining together—SpencerBANK and Southbridge Savings Bank. Together, they have been serving and supporting communities in Central Massachusetts since 1871 and 1848. Based in Worcester, Massachusetts, Cornerstone Bank currently operates 11 branch offices. As a local, community bank, Cornerstone is dedicated to providing high-quality, personal customer service and convenience for individuals, businesses, and community organizations in Central Massachusetts.
