Mission Investment Fund is pleased to welcome Carolyn Gergits as their next Director of Lending

May 6, 2024. Mission Investment Fund is pleased to welcome Carolyn Gergits as their next Director of Lending. Ms. Gergits comes to Mission Investment Fund (MIF) with over 25 years of experience working for consulting and finance companies, successfully managing teams in several areas including origination, underwriting, portfolio management, documentation, credit review, policy, and special assets. She has held key roles at MB Financial Bank, Fifth Third National Bank, and most recently as the Project Consultant and Manager at Solomon Edwards.

As a lending ministry of the ELCA, MIF makes investments in congregations and ministries every day. Their loans help build new churches and renovate buildings where exceptional ministry work takes place. Additionally, MIF’s strong financial position enables them to give back to the church. Over the last five years, the Mission Investment Fund has provided approximately $8 million in support to the church for new and renewing congregations, as well as $5 million in support of established congregations, synods, and ELCA-related ministries.
