Smith & Wilkinson has placed a Director of Operations at OneLocal Bank
July, 2025 — Smith & Wilkinson was retained by OneLocal Bank, a well-capitalized and highly profitable $965MM mutual bank headquartered in Norwood, Massachusetts, to lead the search for the bank’s Senior Vice President, Director of Operations. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the SVP, Director of Operations serves as a key member of the bank’s senior leadership team and plays a critical role in shaping the future of its operational infrastructure. The role is responsible for the strategic and day-to-day oversight of the Deposit Servicing Division, Contact Center, and Consumer and Business Online and Mobile Banking. Additionally, they act as the bank’s primary liaison and relationship manager with the core provider, overseeing all core banking operations and leading future core evaluations and vendor management efforts.
The bank selected William “Bill” Glavin for the role. A resident of Norwood, Glavin most recently served as Manager of Digital Banking Payments for $4B Hingham Institution for Savings. He brings over 30 years of banking operations experience, including 20 years at First Republic Bank where he managed critical operational functions such as wires, FX, ACH, deposit operations, and the call center. Glavin helped to build First Republic’s foreign exchange operations from the ground up, overseeing trade settlement, systems, and middle office functions. Known for being hands-on and results-driven, he adapts well to smaller teams with broad responsibilities.
