Summary of 2016 Charitable Giving

Each year, Smith & Wilkinson sets a corporate goal to give back to organizations in our communities that offer valuable and unique services. We’re proud to share that in 2016, Smith & Wilkinson contributed over $27,000 to nonprofits and charities within New England. We look forward to continuing our donations in 2017.

In 2016, our charitable donations supported the work of the following organizations:

CATCH Neighborhood Housing, a New Hampshire organization dedicated to ensuring that all members of the community have access to safe, secure, and reasonably priced housing.

Make-A-Wish Maine’s Adopt-A-Wish Program, which in 2016 granted six year old Nolan’s wish to visit Disney World and take part in Hollywood Studio’s “Jedi Training Academy” event.

The Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine, a center of community engagement and cultural enrichment for Maine children and families.

Rip It For Rett, a charity golf tournament whose proceeds benefit RettSyndrome.org, an organization dedicate to research and resources for individuals living with Rett Syndrome and their families.

Camp Sunshine, a retreat for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families and where programming is offered year-round and free of charge.

The Center for Grieving Children, an organization in southern Maine which supports children and families through peer support as they navigate the death or serious illness of a close family member.

Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital, the only full-service children’s hospital in the state of Maine, and one of the top children’s hospitals in the US.
