(Portland, ME) – Smith & Wilkinson, one of the country’s premier executive search and leadership consulting organizations, recently announced that, in addition to 2018 being the organization’s 20th anniversary, it was its most successful year ever. During the past year, Smith & Wilkinson successfully completed nearly 125 executive searches.

Carll Wilkinson, Managing Partner of Smith & Wilkinson, said, “We saw significant demand for talent across a wide-range of industries including our core specialty areas of banks, credit unions, insurance companies and engineering firms. We also continued to expand our practice into other areas and look forward to building upon that foundation as we start the new year.”

In 2018, banking and credit union clients, led by Practice Director, Cameron Boyd, accounted for nearly 80 placements including the successful recruitment and placement of a number of CEOs, CFOs, Chief Retail Officers, Lending, Technology, Compliance and Operations positions. Smith & Wilkinson also experienced strong growth in its insurance practice, under the leadership of Ken Jordan, with close to 35 placements in multiple leadership positions, and continued to build its engineering practice, with the hiring of Ben Chadwick to head up the practice. Smith & Wilkinson is planning additional expansion across practice areas in 2019 to meet market demand.
