Role: President – Tompkins Community Bank

S&W has been retained by Tompkins Financial (NYSE: TMP) to manage the search and selection process for the President of Tompkins Community Bank.

For the period ending 12/31/24, the bank reported a net income of $70.9 million, total loans of $6 billion, and total deposits of $6.5 billion.

The President of Tompkins Community Bank will report to the President & CEO of Tompkins Financial Corporation, and as the leader of the banking business will serve as a key member of executive leadership, helping to continue the bank’s growth, innovation, and community impact. The role includes the oversight and leadership of four Market Presidents and key business line leaders. The primary responsibilities of this public company executive leadership role will include strategic, operational, and financial oversight of the Community Bank, leadership and development of a high-performance culture, and community and market engagement. We are seeking a dynamic and visionary executive to lead the mission-driven community banking business with its deep local ties and a reputation as a top performing regional financial institution. Successful candidates will possess 15+ years of progressive executive leadership roles in community/regional banking, strong expertise in commercial banking, credit and risk management, regulatory compliance, and financial operations, and a proven track record of driving a high-performance culture and market growth.
