Our successful direct to consumer P&C policy comparison client is growing and looking for a VP of Data to manage a team of engineers and product managers responsible for optimizing their data warehousing, website activity tracking, building and packaging of new products, among other data management and optimization efforts.
This role will also be hands on defining and implementing data architecture best practices, help drive new self-service platform solutions, and develop new governance policies to improve the accuracy and security of all company and consumer data.
You must have at least 5 years of people management experience leading teams up to 20, an executive presence willing to influence key department leaders, 10 years of technical experience working with ETL processes, various streaming tools like Kafka, as well as SQL, and a strong understanding of machine learning models are a plus.
Only candidates with a Property & Casualty background will be considered for this position as well as folks willing to travel to their Austin based headquarters once a month.
