The Horsley Witten Group (HW) is seeking to hire a Senior Water Infrastructure Engineer to join their team and support a wide range of technical work related to wastewater collection and treatment and water supply planning, feasibility (including water distribution modeling), design, and management. Supportive of a hybrid work model (in office and work from home) this role can be based out of their offices in Providence, RI, Sandwich, MA, or Boston, MA.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for wastewater and water supply, distribution, collection, and treatment projects; and interface directly with clients on all technical aspects of the projects.
- Attend, assist, and/or lead client, contractor, stakeholder, and regulatory agency meetings.
- Technically mentor junior engineering staff, and manage staff time in an environment where an individual staff member will be working for multiple Project Managers at the same time.
- Support business development and pursuit activities through the writing of technical approaches, scopes of work, budgets, schedules, and presentations to clients.
- Oversight for engineering design from concept to construction phase, and permitting at all phases of project design.
Qualifications
- Massachusetts or Rhode Island PE license preferred.
- Previous engineering consulting experience with wastewater or water supply systems. For water supply, this will include source development, pumping stations, distribution and storage systems, water quality treatment, and modeling. For wastewater, this will include collection systems, WWTF treatment systems, and disposal systems.
- Minimum 8 years of experience preferred.

Our client, Tata & Howard, a 100% employee-owned consulting engineering firm specializing in drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater is currently looking to hire an experienced Project Manager. This is a growth hire and is a hands-on technical role project manager role that will be heavily involved in supporting current clients and support the growth and development of its junior engineers and staff.
Projects will focus mainly on drinking water projects working directly with clients and a team of design engineers to deliver a variety of solutions for everything from pipelines, pump stations, and water treatment. There is flexibility for someone with experience in wastewater treatment and infrastructure to be successful in this role and support projects in both drinking and sanitary water.
There is a collaborative team environment supporting great repeat municipal and water utility clients and has a ton of opportunities for continued growth.
Examples of responsibilities:
- Work directly with clients and a team of design engineers on a variety of civil engineering projects including infrastructure, asset management, and water treatment
- Develop engineering reports, models, and calculations related to the design of water/wastewater and stormwater collection/distribution systems
- Preparation of plans and specifications, technical report writing, and documenting project activities, findings, and recommendations
- Implement programs to ensure quality service is provided to customers, including compliance with all federal and state regulations, and compliance with state business and economic regulations for public utilities
