Cape & Coast Bank Appoints Mary Kay Shea as CFO & Treasurer
April 2026 – Cape & Coast Bank selected Smith & Wilkinson to manage the search and selection process for the Bank’s next CFO & Treasurer. Serving Cape Cod and nearby communities for more than 100 years, Cape & Coast is a $1.6B mutual community bank that provides innovative banking solutions and investment in the local community to support those “who are shaping the Cape’s future.” Following the elevation of Erik Porter from CFO to CEO, the bank sought a strategic finance executive to play a key leadership role in the next chapter of Cape & Coast Bank’s growth.
Mary Kay Shea is a dynamic Chief Financial Officer with more than 25 years of progressive leadership and a proven track record of results. Most recently serving as EVP and Chief Financial Officer for 1st Colonial Community Bank in Mount Laurel, NJ, Mary Kay helped guide the bank to top-tier performance and was an instrumental strategic partner for the Bank’s CEO and Board. A graduate of Boston College, Mary Kay is thrilled to return to her roots in Massachusetts and use her financial and leadership expertise to impact such a historic community banking institution.
